Friends of The Old White Bear
The Old White Bear, Well Road, Hampstead, London NW3 1LJ
After 7 years, 10 months and 15 days, the doors to the pub finally reopened on Wednesday 15th December 2021
It is now almost ten years since it was saved from redevelopment proposed by property speculators. As part of that process the Bear was awarded Asset of Community Value (ACV) status by Camden Council. In January 2019 the ACV was renewed for a further 5 years.
In 2021 the pub finally reopened on the ground floor and has become a roaring success serving the local community. With the recent departure of the school, we are all hoping that the pub will now reoccupy the upper floors returning the much-missed function room to its former prominence as a local hub for community groups and get togethers.
To enhance and protect the pub it is necessary to renew the ACV for a further five years. As part of that process, we need to hear your views as to how important the pub remains to the local community.
If you have a minute to spare, therefore, we’d love to hear from you at the link below.
